They cancelled my standing order saying it was not available. (?) I reordered and they now say it is available in second half of August.
That is weird. Amazon.com is reporting it “In stock.” On the 25th they were reporting 19 copies (they usually ship in boxes of 24), by the end of the day it was down to 15, and in a couple of days it was down to 3. Then they updated their reporting to “In stock,” so do not know what is happening. I assume you ordered it from Amazon.com. Barnes and Nobles is showing it is available for pre-order with a release date of September 30. It has been available in the UK since 9 July.
I do have my author’s copies.
Update, they have said that it is out for shipment.
Who knows what they are doing. I wouldn’t put it past Amazon to cancel something, so they could get out of the preorder price guarantee. But I don’t remember what that price was.
Good. Let me know when it arrives. I don’t have any say over Amazon’s pricing policies. The list price is set by the publisher.
