Iván Torres is a retired U.S. Army officer, a decorated military strategist, and an expert in geostrategic risk analysis. He is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Janus Project Global Analysis, a consulting firm specializing in political and investment risk assessments across regions such as Eastern Europe, Southeast Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). He also serves as the Senior Russian Armed Forces Analyst at Rochan Consulting, where he focuses on evaluating Russian military capabilities, doctrine, and strategic developments—particularly regarding the ongoing conflict in Ukraine and broader Eastern European security dynamics.
Iván’s work supports long-term strategic foresight and defense planning for NATO and allied forces, focusing on open-source intelligence, conflict analysis, wargaming, and the global defense market. His deep operational expertise derives from leading theater-level, multi-brigade, all-domain operations and commanding battalion-sized combat missions. For his distinguished service, he has received the U.S. Army Silver Star, Purple Heart, and four Bronze Star Medals.
